- Clarification on warts from animals: Many animals are hosts for diseases (bacterial and viral) and toads do possess a mild poison in their bumps but you do not get warts from toads. Warts are caused by a human virus. For more information on warts Click here . Anything that is a host for these viruses can transmit them.

Please keep in mind that many diseases have the SAME SYMPTOMS! A fever, aches, or warts may be a symptom for several different viral and bacterial infections. It doesn't necessarily mean that you have an STD.
